“L’Enfant Klimt”

Un grand format plutôt ‘Klimtien’. Tout est parti de ce tissu récupéré aux motifs style art nouveau. Beaucoup, BEAUCOUP(!) de détails dans cette toile. J’ai pris énormément de plaisir a concevoir les visages et l’embellissement des tissus. Soie (sous toutes ses formes), laine, coton, tulle et Lycra. Méthode de couture: piqué libre bien sûr! Comme toujours, mon aiguille de machine à coudre est mon pinceau, les tissus sont mes peintures...
 

A large, rather ‘Klimtian’ format. It all started with this recovered fabric with art nouveau style patterns. Lots and lots of details in this painting. I had a lot of fun designing the faces and embellishing the fabrics. Silk (in all its forms), wool, cotton, tulle and Lycra. Sewing method: free motion stitching of course! As usual, the needle from my sewing machine works as a brush, the different materials serve as the paints.
